NEVER ENDING TOMORROW CHAPTER 4

AUTHOR/WRITER: BANJI COKER

There was something about this day that just didn’t feel right, Shola couldn’t shake away this uncomfortable feeling, it made her uncomfortable and her stomach feel weird, it was like she could sense that something bad was about to happen and she does every time she got scared she got on her knees to say a little prayer

“dear lord, thank you for today, I just want to say you should protect me and every member of my family don’t let anything bad happen to any of us, thank you for always being there for us, in Jesus name I pray Amen”

Shola spent her day quiet through school, it didn’t really make any difference to others around because she has always been a quite child. Though, it was rather hard detecting that there was something off about her, she herself had no idea what was wrong, she just had this strange premonition that something bad was about to happen.

It was the end of the school day, aunty Mary was running late, she should have been here to pick her, just as she was trying to distract herself with her drawings as she waited for Aunty Mary, a voice called out to her

“Shola what are you still doing in school?”

She turned back to see who it was as cold shivers rushed through her since upon realising that it was Mr Eze, the memories of the note she saw began to terrify her “err… am waiting for my aunty to come and pick me” she replied as she swallowed hard

“what’s wrong with you?”

“nothing sir”

“why are you sweating?” he noticing has her cloth wear beginning to get soaked

“I don’t know”

“what do you mean you don’t know?”

“nothing sir”

“well come and help me carry this box to my house”

“excuse me sir but my aunty would soon be here”

“well she’s not here now, come and help with this box my friend!” he shot back at her

As she followed Mr Eze home the sick grew even more now she felt like she was going to vomit, she can’t fall sick Shola thought to herself, she just wanted to get away from Mr Eze, she remembered the note she found at his house, and for the past few days she found Mr Eze to be very scary.

Upon getting to Mr Eze’s house, he immediately locked the doors and immediately ordered Shola to go place the box in one of the bedrooms which to the surprise of Shola was like the room of a little girl, what was more surprising was that there was a collection of a little girl’s cloth, it was as if there was a girl that once lived here. Shola sighted a frame picture which was placed on the drawer beside the bed and was shocked by the resemblance between the girl who was in the picture with Mr Eze and her, but what was more shocking was the smile on Mr Eze’s face, Shola never knew he could be this happy because Mr Eze just had two kinds of looks which were confused and scary.

“start packing those clothes into the suitcase and be very fast with it!” Mr Eze said with a very look on his face, he looked anxious and scared at the same time as if something bad was about to happen

“yes sir”

Shola immediately threw the clothes into the bags and locked it

“excuse me sir I’ve put all the clothes in the suitcase”

“that’s good, are you ready?” he said frustrated trying fit somethings in another suitcase

“yes sir, am ready go back to school”

“why are you going back to school?”

“my aunty would be there by now to take me home” Shola replied confused by his question

“home? Home?” Mr Eze said has faced Shola

“yes sir”

“and where exactly is home?”

“err… my grandma’s house”

“you are never going to that place again or going to see anyone there ever again”

“ehn? why?” tears began to roll down her eyes as she was finding it hard to understand what was going on

“you are now with me and am where I’m taking you is going to be your home and am going to be your family”

“but I already have a family, my mother…” Shola got interrupted with a slap on the face

“don’t you ever say that witches’ name, she’s never going to separate us ever again do you understand me Amaka?”

Everything just got a lot confusing, did he just call her Amaka? Who is Amaka? Was she being kidnapped by her supposed lesson teacher?

“don’t you have mouth Amaka?!” Mr Eze screamed at her

“i’m not Amaka” Shola screamed back bursting into more tears

“yes you are, yes you are” Mr Eze said as he forcefully pressed a handkerchief against her noise which immediately made her unconscious

Hmmm what could be the matter? Could Mr Eze be Shola’s father? Let’s find out in the next chapter. STAY UPDATED!!!
